With a rich family history of homebuilding since 1905, you could say that building is in John’s blood. In fact, from Forest Hill and Rosedale to the Annex and Moore Park, hundreds of estate homes have stood the test of the time from dedicated and skilled generations of Vaughan builders. Today, John is proud of the quality workmanship, valued partnerships and well-respected team of experts tied to the Vaughan Build brand. From renovations and restorations to new residential and commercial projects, Vaughan Build ensures the building process is a positive, seamless and professional one.

James kicked off his career in the early 2000s while working with his family to grow a successful residential design-build company in Muskoka. When he moved back to Toronto in 2015, he worked for several luxury custom home builders, and later landed on solid ground at Vaughan Build. With 20 years of expertise in custom home building and renovation work, James manages all aspects of client projects with precision. He enjoys spending time with his family on the water in Muskoka in the summer and on the slopes at Blue Mountain. He also cherishes his evenings at his son's hockey and soccer games.

Paul comes from a multi-generational background in construction. He started out in residential building as a plasterer and tile setter and from there ventured into an extensive career in multi-faceted building. From commercial conversions to full-scope restorations, Paul has dedicated the past 38 years of his career to building projects in the hospitality, medical, institutional, commercial and industrial sectors from concept to completion. With business development, Paul will assist in taking our vision to the next level. Paul’s motto is “NO is not an option,”, since he feels there is a solution to everything. Paul not only brings knowledge to the Vaughan Build team but also a network of established skilled trades and industry contacts.

Bill is a second-generation construction professional with a rich building background. He successfully owned and operated his own design-build company for 23 years, specializing in custom homes, high-end additions and home renovations. Bill’s strengths include a solid understanding of the construction process, effective leadership abilities, problem-solving skills, multitasking capabilities, as well as a meticulous attention to detail. In his spare time, Bill enjoys working out to maintain an active lifestyle and has a passion for travel. He also values quality time with his family.

Brendan has always had a deep passion for all things real estate and residential building. While his experience as a project manager spans across several sectors, including real estate, finance/investing and multi-residential renovations, Brendan is equally proactive in business development and strategy at Vaughan Build. He fosters excellent communications skills while working effectively with marketing, social media and customer relations management teams. In his spare time, you can find him playing or watching sports with his three young boys, training for an upcoming Ironman challenge, family bike rides and travelling.

Lui has been working in the home building and construction industry for more than 25 years. He has a broad knowledge of all construction sub-trades, including infrastructure, high-rise, commercial and residential sites. He also values excellent communication skills as well as leadership abilities. No matter how small the task or project, Lui is passionate about excellent workmanship and quality construction. He’s honoured to be a part of the great team at Vaughan Build and looks forward to creating lifelong relationships with clients and the team.

Neal operated his own company, Dunn-Right Contracting, for 14 years before joining Vaughan Build. That experience has elevated him to supervising heritage home renovations and multi-residential construction, as well as fostering long-standing relationships with skilled professionals in the industry. He brings passion and pride to every home build and renovation project. Among Neal’s strengths are planning, scheduling and working in synergy with clients, trade partners and designers. He enjoys the outdoors camping, fishing or hiking.

Tom has 40-plus years of ICI construction experience. He has overseen the construction of millions of dollars worth of successful projects from start to finish while working within strict timelines and budget requirements. Tom brings a high degree of organizational skills, dedication and extensive expertise in analyzing and solving complex problems. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf.

William has more than 15 years in the construction management industry in the high-rise, commercial, infrastructure/development and residential sectors. As a professional carpenter, he applies his expertise to site preparation and safety, structures, custom builds and high-level finishing. He leads teams as a supervisor in renovation projects, managing them through the full cycle of work, from planning, design, resources and execution to closing with 5-star customer reviews. When he’s not working with his carpenter tools, William enjoys spending time with his daughter.

Effren heads the financial management and accounting team at Vaughan Build. He is responsible for the accounting and payroll systems as well as effective internal control measures for business transactions and events to ensure accordance with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies, standards and procedures. With more than 25 years of work experience as a professional accountant, his excels in problem solving, organization and managing critical details. Outside of work, he enjoys working out, playing bowling and singing karaoke.

Mimi is an integral part of the team, responsible for maintaining the company’s financial transactions, including reconciling bank statements, processing payroll and generating financial reports. Her attention to detail and accuracy ensures that the company’s financial records are always up to date. In addition to her financial duties, Mimi also manages administrative tasks, office facilities, and important information and documents. Her organizational skills and positive approach help create a healthy and productive company culture. Mimi is a team player who enjoys contributing toward the company’s growth. Outside of work, Mimi enjoys spending time with her three children, travelling, skiing, kayaking, and hiking with her dogs. Her passion for the outdoors and love of adventure reflects her positive attitude toward life and work.

Pouria completed his bachelor’s degree in construction project management at George Brown College. Along with his trades background in residential construction, he started his own company in 2021. After completing multiple residential and commercial projects, Pouria wanted to join a trusted and successful team to continue honing his skills and made a decision to join Vaughan Build. Outside of work, he is passionate about martial art, recently retiring from competition. But he continues to stay connected to the arts by practicing and teaching kickboxing and Muay Thai, as well personal fitness and weight training.

Aaron has been in the residential construction business for more than 15 years. He got his start working with his father, continuing a legacy of family carpentry. Aaron has built many custom homes in the London and Muskoka areas, having a hand in everything from foundation to finish. Quality workmanship, transparency and honesty with client communication, and a positive, lighthearted attitude have always been Aaron’s top priorities. Away from work, he enjoys practicing yoga, learning new languages and spending quality time with his two sons.

Before coming to Vaughan Build, Matthew completed the Home Renovations Program at Skilled Trades College of Canada. He’s responsible for assisting the site supervisors on all residential and commercial projects to ensure projects are completed within timelines while exceeding client expectations. His day-to-day tasks include, but are not limited to, demolition, painting, framing, minor repairs, cleaning and organizing the site throughout the project. He enjoys playing sports and going to the gym.
